The fastest way to reach us is email:
hello@wheretoapp.nlWe reply within three working days. If it will take longer, we'll tell you.
Two kinds of request run on their own clock: privacy and account-deletion requests are answered within one month, as European data-protection law requires, and reports of illegal content are confirmed on receipt and handled promptly — anyone can send one through the report form, no account needed.
Common questions
I can’t sign in.
Where To? has no password. You sign in with Apple or with Google, whichever you used when you created your account. If you first signed in with Apple and later try Google — or the other way round — you land in a new, empty account instead of your own, which is the usual reason everything looks missing. If a button does nothing at all, check your connection and that the app is up to date, then email us and say which button you tapped and what you saw.
How do I delete my account?
Open the Profile tab, choose Log Out / Delete account, then Delete account, and confirm. That permanently removes your profile, username, photo, plans, friendships, group memberships and notification settings. Some group history and abuse-prevention records are kept in anonymised form so shared group history stays intact; they are no longer linked to you. If you cannot get into the app at all, email us from the address on the account and ask us to delete it.
Who can see my plans?
Only friends you have accepted, and only the ones you picked for that plan — everyone, a chosen few, or everyone except certain people. Groups are not a back door: someone in a group sees your plan only if they could already see it as a friend. You can make a plan private at any time, which takes it off your status while keeping it in your own list, and Ghost Mode hides your current and future plans from every friend at once. One thing worth knowing: if you share a plan link, anyone holding that link can see the place, the date and the faces of who is going. Names are not shown, but share those links carefully.
How do I report someone?
Open their profile in the app and choose Report. Block is next to it and stops contact in both directions. If you believe something is illegal rather than just against our rules, use the report form on this site instead — anyone can use it and no account is needed.
How do I leave a group?
Open the group, go into its settings, and choose Leave Group. If you are the last member, that same place offers Delete Group instead.
How do I stop the app using my location?
Turn it off for Where To? in your phone's own settings — the app follows whatever you set there. Worth knowing what it does while it is on: Where To? only watches for you arriving at or leaving a venue on a day you already have a plan for, never continuously, and your device's live position is never stored or sent to us as a trail. Turning it off stops automatic arrival and departure updates; you can still make plans and see your friends'.
